Again, here are some apples. I peeled, cored, and cut about 12 gala apples (but applesauce is the best when you mix a variety of apples). Thank God for the peeler! The first time I made applesauce, I did it with a knife! Took me hours.
Then, I put them in a pot to simmer with water and spices for a little while.
Lastly, I crush them with the potato smasher thing.
Yum. This definitely beats store bought applesauce. The best part is, you can control the sugar content! I put little to no sugar in mine, especially when there are no Granny Smiths involved.
It's chow time!
